Disembark at Linlithgow Station and exit towards the High Street , on the Platform 1 side of the station. There is an excellent town map at the station. Walk along the High Street towards the west, past “the Cross” for a distance of around 800 metres. Just after the “Black Bitch” tavern and the “West Port Hotel” on the right of the road, take the left fork marked A706 Lanark (and signposted ‘Rugby Club’) at the mini roundabout. After 200 metres the road passes under the railway at a bridge where traffic lights are in operation. Immediately after passing under the bridge, turn right into a big car park. The Rugby Club is at the back of the car park – roughly where the “S” in “Mains Road” is located on the map below.
By Road
Easiest access to Linlithgow from west east or north is via the M9.
From the west and from Kincardine Bridge, turn off at junction 4 and follow the signs to Linlithgow. The road runs parallel to the motorway for a couple of miles. Entering Linlithgow, drive straight through Linlithgow Bridge, with its modern retail park. At the mini roundabout take the right turning marked A706 Lanark (also signposted ‘Rugby Club’). After 200 metres the road passes under the railway at a bridge where traffic lights are in operation. Immediately after passing under the bridge, turn right into a big car park. The Rugby Club is at the back of the car park.
From the east and Forth Bridge, turn off the M9 at junction 3 and continue into Linlithgow. Just past Tesco’s and by the Star and Garter Hotel turn right at the roundabout (Low Port roundabout) and drive along the High Street towards the west, past “the Cross” for a distance of around 800 metres. Just after the “Black Bitch” tavern and the “West Port Hotel” on the right of the road, take the left fork marked A706 Lanark at the mini roundabout. After 200 metres the road passes under the railway at a bridge where traffic lights are in operation. Immediately after passing under the bridge, turn right into a big car park. The Rugby Club is at the back of the car park.
From the south enter Linlithgow by the A706. The Rugby Club is on the left at the traffic lights before passing under the railway bridge.
